Electoral Roll

What is the Electoral Roll?

The Church Electoral Roll is the register of its voting members at St Nicholas’ Church. In the same way that being on the civic Electoral Roll allows you to vote in parliamentary and local elections and referenda, joining the Electoral Roll at St Nicholas’ Church means that you can vote on church matters, attend the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) and stand for election to the Parochial Church Council (PCC). Any person entitled to attend the Annual Parochial Church Meeting may raise any question of parochial or general church interest. Electoral rolls provide an indication of the real membership and strength of the church.

Who can be on the Electoral Roll?

To be on St Nicholas’ Church electoral roll you need to have worshipped at St Nicholas’ Church regularly for at least the last six months OR be resident in the parish. You should be baptised and at least 16 years old.

Why Bother to Register?

Enrolment is a way of saying... ‘Yes, I belong’. For many church members it is an act of commitment to St Nicholas’ Church and the church as a whole. If you are eligible to join, we would love to encourage you to sign up.

Please complete this application form and return it by email to either of the churchwardens:
